Do you want to put yourself on the waiting list for a physiotherapist/manual therapist with a municipal agreement? Fill in the form here.
Questions and answers
Do you have physiotherapists/manual therapists with a municipal operating agreement (Helfo agreement)?
Yes, we have four therapists with a municipal operating agreement here with us. Treatment by a physiotherapist/manual therapist with a municipal agreement means that you as a patient pay a fee (copayment) for the consultations, and Helfo (the Norwegian Health Economics Administration) covers parts of the treatment (reimbursement). The copayments form the basis for earning a "Frikort" (healthcare exemption card).
Please note that our therapists have a district agreement with the district of Old Oslo, which means that we must prioritize patients from our own district.
Do I need a referral?
No, you do not need a referral to book an appointment with a physiotherapist/manual therapist, with or without a municipal agreement.
How long is the waiting time for a physiotherapist/manual therapist with a municipal agreement?
The waiting time will depend on the problem and how many patients we have on the list at any given time. Certain groups are prioritized (newly operated, children and pregnant women). We follow priority guidelines provided by Gamle Oslo district.
Can I be on a waiting list for a physiotherapist or manual therapist with a municipal agreement, if I start treatment elsewhere or with a private physiotherapist?
Yes you can. When it's your turn on the waiting list, we'll get in touch to find out if you want to start treatment with a physiotherapist/manual therapist with a municipal operating agreement.
How much does the treatment cost?
You can find pricing information here.
Cancellation deadline
Appointments must be canceled no later than 24 hours or the business day before the scheduled time to avoid a late cancellation/no-show fee. Unforeseen events (including personal or family illness, or unforeseen traffic conditions) do not entitle you to a payment exemption. Exemption from copayment (e.g., exemption card, children under 16) does not exempt you from the fee for late cancellation/no-show.
How do I cancel an appointment?
To cancel or move an appointment, you must contact your therapist directly. Neither e-mail nor the contact form on this page should be used to cancel an appointment.
If you have requested "Pasientreiser" (Patient Travels), and your appointment changes, you must remember to cancel or make changes to Pasientreiser, yourself. See more information further down.
Late cancellation fee
The fee for late cancellation/no-show, equals the copayment amount + reimbursement rate (Helfo) for examination or treatment. In addition, and invoice fee will be added.
What is the difference between a physiotherapist and a manual therapist?
In short, a manual therapist is a physiotherapist who has completed a master's degree in manual therapy. A manual therapist is therefore an advanced physiotherapist. Manual therapy is a specialization in the clinical examination and treatment of individuals with musculoskeletal disorders. Manual therapists have the right to issue sick leave for up to 12 weeks, order imaging studies, and refer to relevant specialties in the specialist health service.
